In-review: WCFP at ASA Convention in Irvine

The West Coast Fastpitch booth at the 2011 Southern California Amateur Softball Association Annual Recreation League Conference in Irvine on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011.

I mentioned in a previous post that I was going to the annual ASA recreation league conference in Irvine, last weekend. Below is a look back at what happened at the event.

First, there were several hundred coaches and league presidents in attendance. There were also lots of vendors boothes set up outside the convention rooms including West Coast Fastpitch (photo above).

As these coaches and presidents had breaks, or were going from room-to-room, they passed the vendors tables.

Second, while most of the vendors were selling products like uniforms, equipment, or fundraising treats, marketing was a unique opportunity.

Most people watched the membership site’s┬ávideos play on a computer monitor as they walked by my table.

Trippi, the president of the Glendora Lassie League, stopped by. So did several coaches from Claremont Fastpitch.

I was able to meet and explain the site to several coaches that are equally passionate about fastpitch softball. Further, we all have the same goal in mind: to strengthen, and improve our leagues.

Thank you again, and welcome the site, to everyone that stopped by the WCFP booth and signed up for this blog.
