One-year WCFP blog anniversary giveaway

The West Coast Fastpitch blog was launched one year ago this week.

From high school to Oklahoma City and the WCWS

It’s possible most of us have heard these thoughts and maybe even said a few of them ourselves when it comes to the sport of softball.

With the 2011 Women’s College World Series beginning in Oklahoma City today there’s also a chance we’ll hear some of these sayings from commentators and coaches on TV.

2011 Women’s College World Series bracket

UPDATE: scroll down to see the results up to today, June 7.

Below is a bracket for the 2011 Women’s College World Series scheduled for June 2-7, in Oklahoma City.

All games will be broadcast online and on either ESPN or ESPN2.

Four teams from the Big XII Conference are in this year’s series; two teams are from the Pac-10, and two teams from the SEC Conference.

Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma are both in the WCWS in the same year for the first-time ever.
